About the Orchard Cottage
The Orchard Cottages are the most private places to sleep at The Alder House. Each sits on its own gravel path, far enough from its neighbors that you can hear the wind move through the olive trees. Inside: a king bed with a hand-stitched quilt, a wood-burning stove and a small kitchenette.
The deck is where most of the stay happens. A copper soaking tub sits under a pergola wrapped in jasmine, with a slatted screen for privacy and a shelf for your glass. We deliver breakfast baskets to the door at the time you choose the night before.

Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. We store bags for free, so you can arrive early for lunch or a tasting, and late check-out until 1:00 pm can be added for $45 when available.
Breakfast at Alder Table is included on Bed & Breakfast rates and all packages. On room-only rates it's $32 per guest. Cottage and Residence guests can have it delivered as a basket at no extra charge.
Yes. Add it to the special requests when you book and we'll do our best to honor it. Specific rooms are guaranteed only when you call reservations and we confirm it in writing.
Children of all ages are welcome in the Garden Terrace rooms, Junior Suites and The Residence. Dogs under 50 lb are welcome in the Orchard Cottages for $95 per stay, with a bed, bowls and a map of dog-friendly wineries.
