Cellar Door Tasting

Six pours in our 1890s stone cellar, led by sommelier Marisol Vega, including two estate Cabernets you can't buy anywhere else.

Overview

Our cellar was dug by hand in 1893, and it still holds the estate's barrels at a steady 58 degrees. Twice a day, Marisol Vega leads a small group through six wines: two from our own eleven acres and four from neighboring family producers we have known for years.

It's an easy, unhurried tasting. You'll learn how the valley's benchland soils change a Cabernet, why Carneros Chardonnay tastes of cool mornings, and how to talk about wine without sounding like a label. A plate of cheeses and house-cured salumi from Alder Table comes with every pour.
