About Downtown Napa
Downtown Napa is where the valley comes to eat and stay out a little later. The Napa River runs through the middle of town, lined with a paved promenade, restaurants with riverside patios and a cluster of tasting rooms that stay open into the evening, which is rare in wine country.
It's our favorite first-night plan for guests who arrive late: a short drive or a $14 car ride, a glass at a riverfront bar and dinner somewhere loud and fun before settling into the quiet at The Alder House.
